Charter 4-1-1™ Premieres at Boston Event

07/25/2008

Air charter do-it-yourselfers were armed today with a new software tool from 9-1-1 Air Charter. The tool is called Charter 4-1-1™. Charter 4-1-1™ matches freight to the right aircraft, and then connects users to charter airlines with that type aircraft.

The debut was at the Team Worldwide 2008 event in Boston, where attendees were able to compare Charter 4-1-1™ to a “Brand X” tool that lacked critical features and offered less accuracy.

“Charter 4-1-1™ is a robust, serious tool,” notes Chris Rogers, Technology Director for 9-1-1. “Now our Customers can use one of the same tools we use internally.”

“The nearest similar tool offered by Brand X is a toy by comparison, expensive, and requires a commitment,” comments 9-1-1 Chief Strategist Mark Mangrum. “We decided to share our internal tool with our Customers absolutely free, no strings!”

“Matching the right aircraft and collecting bids from charter airlines is only one stage of air charter management,” states 9-1-1 President Steve Fleming. “Customers can use our free tool to aid that first step, and buy any of our other services à la carte.”

Charter 4-1-1™ was well received at the Team Worldwide event, although not everyone was keen to become a do-it-yourselfer. One Team owner put it, “I guess I’m spoiled, but I’d rather outsource all of the work to 9-1-1.”
