True Legends

We’ve managed thousands of air charters for our Customers since 1999. They have saved business relationships, many millions of dollars, and even lives. The time one of us hired a hearse as a delivery truck; when we called the police chief to open up a local airport; when we rescued our own family off of Grenada after they survived Hurricane Ivan – these were true legends.

Here are a few examples that highlight why our Customers rate their 9-1-1 experience as Best-in-Class.

Perfect Strike

Sometimes saving the day can depend on how well you know someone. One evening during a complex charter from Mexico to Canada, we were having trouble reaching a Customer for a critical decision. Rather than giving up after trying all contacts, we remembered her sharing about her passion for bowling. So we called the local bowling alleys and successfully paged her. She was able to make the decision and saved her company tens of thousands of dollars!

Advantage:

Exceptional knowledge of our Customer

When Dolphins fly

A children’s aquatic therapy center in Mexico acquired seven Japanese dolphins and hired our Customer to deliver them. Nearly 10,000 kilometers was a bit far to swim, so our Customer hired us to rig a special aircraft with part passenger seating and part cargo area both on the main deck. The dolphins rode in open tanks with veterinarians and handlers alongside to soothe them and keep them moist. The 9-1-1 supervisor sent to coordinate the entire process onsite and onboard was a certified load planner and air charter expert – and a minister too. Every detail counts!

Advantage:

Attention
to detail

Savings:

7 dolphins

Mid-air crisis

Soon after our chartered aircraft had crossed the border headed to Guadalajara, an unexpected incident suddenly shut down the airport. Our Customer was able use our suggestion to make Customs arrangements in Aguascalientes as an alternate landing, but how to communicate that to the pilots? Normally the authorities would simply turn them back to Laredo and they’d have to start a new flight to Aguascalientes. At $11,000 a minute in losses, our Customer couldn’t afford the delay. So we began calling airport towers along the flight route, and one was able to relay our call to the pilots to divert. Just in time!

Advantage:

Technical solutions

Savings:

$2.3 million

midnight rendezvous

A Customer needed freight that was onboard a truck scheduled to deliver far too late. As we often do, we suggested diverting the truck to the nearest small airport, where we would meet it with a chartered aircraft. The trucker wasn’t responding, so a 9-1-1 manager began cruising the local truck stops near his last reported position and found the truck. He awoke the sleeping driver, connected him to his dispatchers for authorization, and led him to a nearby rural airport where we transferred the critical freight to the waiting aircraft. A few hours later, the freight was delivered to the plant!

Advantage:

Applied creativity

Savings:

At least
$3.9 million

Right start

Our very first charter was performed when we were still a one-woman company. Using a single line telephone and fax machine in her Dallas home office, Madlin managed 9 B-747’s carrying over 1 million kilos of relief supplies from Atlanta to the refugee camps of Kosovo. Within a year, our growing (2 ½ people) company was miraculously awarded its first double-digit-million dollar contract flying mail between Seattle and Anchorage. Today our people’s training and attitude are still a secret of our success.

Advantage:

24/7 Humans

Savings:

Human jobs, lives and relationships
